Peel off’s

This week I prepare another easy and fun project. I used one of my favorites peel off stickers “Jacky’s Doll”, and I combine it with the new Ribbons & Jewels from Els Van De Burgt Studio Collection .

I like this set of Ribbons as allows you to create many variety of decorations and textures as I did with this project.

Hello everyone,

I am very excited, because this is my first post as an official member of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Team. This month’s The Designer Challenge is designed to show all the possibilities the peel off’s can bring.

This is my Project:

I am always looking ways to maximize the use of the dies, and giving them a new use. In this projects I combined four different dies to create the apron stand up helper.

To build the stand up helper:

1..- Cut a rectangle piece of 11″ x 4 1/2″ in aqua cardstock.

2.- Make 3 score lines: the first one at 2 1/2″,the second at 5 1/4″ and the last one at 8″.

3.- Stick down the decorative piece from die 960 ( Tags & More 7 – Vine) at the first score line (2 1/2″), and run it through the die cut machine.

To create the top part of the apron:

4.-Cut a rectangle piece of 3 3/4″ x 4 1/2″ in aqua cardstock.

5.- Mark a score line at 3 1/4″ of the rectangle.

6.-Die cut the top part of the rectangle piece using die tag 952 (Tag & More 2 -Deco ) .

7.-To create the indeed in each side. Place down, the oval decorative piece from die 772 (accordion oval card), between point A and B as show in the picture and run it through the die cut machine. Repeat at the other side of the piece.

8.- Adhere a piece of double side of adhesive to patterned paper big enough to die cut a piece using decorative element from die 960.This piece would be use in the top side of the apron. Trim the piece to fit it as it shows the picture.

9.-Using Double side of adhesive attach the top of the apron to the front part of the stand up helper.Using as a mark the score line previous marked.

To decorate:

10.- Cut a rectangle piece of 3″ x 4 1/2″ in patterned paper.(Blue Polka Dots). Using our very handy double side of adhesive roll adhere this piece in the front part of the stand up helper, overlapping the top part of the apron.

11.-Die cut a piece using the die 972 (Accordion Rectangle) in red carstock and trim the sides to create the rectangle used as a base for our peel off.

12.-Die cut a rectangle in white cardstock using the decorative part from die 972.

13.-Apply Transparent Double-Sided Tape to white cardstock. Transfer the outline of the Apron from Kitchen Time peel-off to the adhesive side and, using the glitter coloring technique, add Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter to peel-off and color. Watch Els demonstrate this technique HERE.

14.- For the sentiment combine peel off’s 343 and 344 .

15.- Finalize with some red and white polka dots ribbon.
